In the 1960s the developing copper industry required highly qualified workers. This brought on the decision of establishing proper schools. On the 1st of September 1964 three schools for future miners opened: - Trade School, - Technical School of Ore Mining, - Technical School of Mining for adults. Establishing the association of schools was a great event since it was the second high school in Lubin. From the very beginning the school developed very fast and every year the number of pupils grew. In 19963 the school had 207 pupils, a year later 723 and in 1965 1303. on the 30th of October 1973 the school received its banner founded by the management of KGHM and was named after Bolesław Krupiński. The 1990s brought more changes. On the 1st of September a new school was started – the Third Lyceum which broadened the offer of the specializations. For many years the association of schools in Kościuszki Street was one of the biggest schools in the region. Pupils who graduated from our school work in important positions of council administration, state offices and, of course, KGHM.
